Lexington, Kentucky — The American Saddlebred Horse and Breeders Association announces the implementation of updates to the Saddlebred Record Program (CH and CH-HS), following approval by the Board of Directors at its February 15, 2026 meeting. System programming and updates are now complete, and the changes are fully in effect.

These updates reflect continued efforts to ensure the program aligns with the evolving competition landscape while maintaining the integrity and recognition standards of the American Saddlebred.

CH Program Updates

Classes across all sub-chapters of the American Saddlebred Horse Division within the USEF Rulebook are now eligible for CH points. This expansion includes divisions such as Parade and Ranch, broadening participation opportunities within the program.

CH-HS Program Updates

For the CH Half Saddlebred (CH-HS) Program, American Saddlebred Type pony classes have been added as eligible for point accumulation.

Competition Classification Update

USEF Lite competitions are now grouped with USEF licensed shows, resulting in consistent point values across both categories.

These updates are effective immediately and are reflected in the Association’s systems and records.
