The American Saddlebred Museum held two successful events during the Lexington Jr. League Horse Show week.
On Friday, July 18 over 200 guests enjoyed a wonderful afternoon at Black Diamond Farm. The afternoon included a classic car show on the lawn and a poolside lunch. The highlight of the event included a fashion show featuring Saddlebred trainers, riders and supporters as models. Women’s fashions were provided by Glasscock Too from Louisville and the men’s style was provided by Crittenden Rawlings, in Midway. Guests also enjoyed shopping with a selection of specialty vendors.
Saturday, July 19 was a festive morning featuring the much anticipated Equine Art, Antique and Rare Book Auction. This years’ auction featured a wide variety of paintings, prints and sculptures from noted artists, including a great selection of George Ford Morris works. There was competitive bidding for all lots, and winners included in-person, phone and online bidders.
