The American Saddlebred Horse Association scholarships are available to any member of ASHA, age 21 and under, at grade 11 or higher.
Scholarships will be awarded only to high school graduates on the basis of submitted evidence of academic success, financial need, extracurricular activities (including community service), involvement with American Saddlebred horses and ASHA youth programs and personal references. An interview also may be required.
Applications must be received by April 30 of the year the applicant wishes to receive the scholarship. The scholarship money will be paid the year of matriculation directly to the university, college or trade school for post-secondary educational expenses.
A scholarship will be awarded one time only to any individual. Scholarship applications may be resubmitted annually.
