The deadline to submit Sport Horse Year End Award results is December 15, 2019.
Applicants need to send in competing reporting forms for their discipline, or send a score check report from the National Affiliate such as USDF or USEA, or they may send a copy of the test sheets with the results of the division and the number of entries in the division.
The Sport Horse Year End Awards program is designed to acknowledge, reward and promote the versatility of the American Saddlebred. Both purebred American Saddlebreds and half American Saddlebreds are eligible to be recognized. Disciplines in which horses may earn points are: dressage, driving, hunter, jumper, eventing, and distance riding (competitive trail riding and endurance) and Western Dressage. Disciplines in which horses may earn points are Distance Riding, Dressage, Western Dressage, Driving, Eventing, Hunter, Jumper, In Hand and Western Dressage. In addition to these year-end awards there are also the USDF All Breeds Awards and both a 50 mile and 25 mile division for American Saddlebreds or Half-Saddlebreds at the 2020 Distance Horse National Championships. Note that enrollment in this program also makes a horse eligible to receive an American Saddlebred High Point Award (neck ribbon) at individual open breed competitions.
