For the past 13 years, the American Ranch Horse Association (ARHA) only has allowed a limited number of breeds to show within its association. But beginning in 2018, ARHA has opened its registry to include all Western and Stock Type horses. Any western or stock type horse that will walk, trot, and lope will be permitted to show within ARHA.
Grade horses also will now be accepted, but cannot be registered at shows because they will be required to submit photos as well as videos of the horse at a walk, jog, and lope to be accepted by the registration committee.
ARHA is committed to holding the highest standards for Ranch Horses, striving to give Ranch Horses a fun and friendly place to be competitive and showcase their true talents. The hope is the opening of the registry will inspire those who have not been able to show with ARHA in the past to become a part of their Ranch Horse Family.
For more information about ARHA, go to www.americanranchhorse.net or call (606) 271-2963. Certificate of Eligibility forms as well as 2018 membership forms can be found on the website, where they may be submitted online, or the pdf version may be printed and mailed.
