Both TBA classes at the Mid-America Mane Event Show in October have been picked up, adding the Junior Exhibitor Park qualifier and Championship to the schedule in the prize list. The qualifying class is Thursday evening, with the Championship on Saturday afternoon. TBA classes are included in the schedule to accommodate requested classes. Regular entry fees apply; no post entry fee is charged for TBA classes.
Mane Event again hosts three national Finals–NHS “Good Hands,” Pleasure Equitation Olympics and AHHS Youth Medallions–and has an expansive class list with excellent options for amateurs showing performance and pleasure horses, as well as ideal facilities for showing young horses at the Illinois State Fairgrounds in Springfield.
Also new this year are Five-Gaited Country Pleasure and Championship classes as well as five AHHS Youth Medallion classes, all scheduled after their respective Finals, and all qualifying for next year’s Medallion Finals, so all pony junior exhibitors have two classes of their own at Mane Event.
Show dates are October 24-27. Kim Cowart, Marilyn Macfarlane and Bill Waller will judge all classes.
Exhibitors are advised to make hotel reservations early due to a huge conference at the convention center on the same weekend. The Mane Event prize list contains information on six hotels holding room blocks for exhibitors. Prize lists are available at www.HorseShowCalendar.com. Mane Event is produced by Mid-America Horse Show Association, one of the largest ASHA charter clubs.
