Mid-America Horse Show Association’s high-point awards banquet is not your run-of-the-mill trophy distribution event. It’s always fun, fast-paced, upbeat and full of surprises for everyone in attendance, not just those who win the gorgeous trophies.
This year’s event is Saturday, February 2nd, at Drury Lane Oak Brook in west suburban Chicago. Mid-America does its awards evening with great style and panache, including a contemporary sights-and-sounds AV show of last year’s season highlights that is fast-paced and set to music to keep everyone involved. The evening concludes with dancing until midnight.
Chairing the Awards Banquet is Connie MacQueen, who has a knack for making things fun. The basket raffle and silent auction are attendee favorites as they always include unique items. For information about donating to the silent auction, contact Sharon Gardner at 630/971-0867 orgardner.sharon@comcast.net.
This very special Mid-America evening is not just for high point winners; it’s an opportunity for the entire show horse community to put on their dress duds and socialize with their horse show friends. Black tie is optional. The cocktail hour starts at 6pm. If your invitation is “still in the mail,” and you want more information, contact Connie MacQueen at 630/279-7885 or conniemacqueen@comcast.net.
