Robert "Bob" Trethaway, 68, of Brunswick, Georgia, passed away Thursday, September 20, at his residence. Visitation will be Saturday, September 28 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., with a memorial service at 7:00 p.m. at the Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home, 3321 Glynn Avenue, Brunswick, Georgia 31520.
Trethaway was born on August 24, 1945. He was a former board member of the American Saddlebred Horse Association and was a founder and longtime chair of the Pleasure Horse Committee. He served as President of the Illinois American Saddlebred Pleasure Horse Association, and was named Horseman of the Year by the Libertyville Sentinel in 1983. He was also treasurer and a board member for the American Saddlebred Museum.
Bob was a registered pharmacist and was the owner of Seaside Pharmaceutical, Inc. in Brunswick, Georgia. He was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, where he was a varsity football player.
