The weather in St. Louis has taken a turn for the best. The yellow mums are in place, the party boxes have been set up, and final decorations will be complete by Monday. It must be time for the St. Louis National Charity Horse Show! Horses and trainers will begin to arrive on Monday morning, with the official show commencing on Wednesday morning.
St. Louis is looking at another sold out show, with over 65 different barns and over 600 stalls. Management built more Party Boxes for the 2013 show, and Party Box holders will enjoy snacks and drinks throughout the week, including ringside seating and wait staff to take drink orders during the evening performances. Additionally, there will be a Fiesta Mexican party on Thursday evening and the Friday night Exhibitor Bar-BQ with live music by “Last Missouri Exit.” On Saturday evening, there will be a reception in the Vendor Hall with free snacks and drinks to munch on while browsing the great shops and merchandise. Saturday night culminates with the Shatner Western Pleasure Championship, and on Sunday morning there will be the Championship classes for the St. Louis National Charity “Academy Classic.”
The 2013 Hall of Fame inductee is Janet Thompson from Columbia, Missouri. Janet has been a life-long representative and supporter of the American Saddlebred as well as and supporter and winner of many classes at the SLNCHS, including the Shatner Finals. Please join us in celebrating Janet’s induction during the Friday evening session!
